It takes a while to wind down emotionally after third contact. Here's a bunch of us doing just that. Everyone compares impressions for the timeless 3½ minutes in the Moon's shadow. Totality always seems both long and short to me. It's as if everything in the normal world stops between second and third contact so I have no sense of the passage of time. Then when it's over it seems to have been so short. I guess that's why I keep chasing them around the globe.
